I'm 35 too. Welcome. It's not that bad. A little scary, because it seems so much like a very real solid number, when I would like to still feel like I'm a waifish number. But it's all right. May this be your best year yet!

Billie - I know I look younger than I am. Almost every semester there comes a point when my students start to do the math in their heads (adding up years of grad school with the years I mentioned I waited before coming back to school) and get confused. I get something like "Wait. How old are you?" They tend to be surprised to learn that I'm over 30.
