I'm here. I've been here for a little while, but I collapsed from exhaustion. I had the pleasure of waking up at 3:00 am EST so I could make it to my flight in time. We've had unpleasant weather lately (maybe some of y'all heard about the recent tornadoes) and last night we were blessed with torrential rain. There was some flash flooding on some of the streets as we left town. Yes, someone actually drove me to the airport at that unholy hour.
I arrived at the hotel around noon, PST. I fumbled my way down to registration and picked up my mega-program. There was actual conference swag this year! It doesn't take much to get me excited, I guess, but getting a little tote bag and water bottle with my program actually woke me up a little.
I've since lazed about and took a short nap. I should have gone to a pre-conference meeting, but I'm still just too tired. I know I should go out into the city and find some food, but I'm thinking about being lazy and splurging by ordering room service. I can eat, go over my presentation for tomorrow, and go to bed early. Tomorrow I will do the conference thing and enjoy San Francisco.
Really, Daylight Saving Time + early flight + traveling to a time zone three hours behind EST = a sluggish k8.

I am so with you, m'dear! In fact, I was going to call you, but then I thought you might be as wiped out as I. I ventured out to grab a bite . . . then hit Walgreens to buy a bottle of lavender bubble bath. That's the extent of my adventures for the day. Looking forward to your shtick tomorrow!
You got swag? Awesome!
