While talking to my dad on the phone
Dad: So, we're having [insert number] over for Thanksgiving. Prepare accordingly.
Me: Oh. Okay.
We reached the point where it is just assumed that I am in charge of all food-related aspects of Thanksgiving. Not that this is anything new, but in the past there have been at least been the pretense that I will receive assistance.

Let me know if you want a recipe for an easy pie--you can actually make it Wed. and be good the next day. Big hit at our house.
Thanks! I'm actually set on pies. They're one of my favorite things to make. I do make them the night before, though. We eat at noon, and I have no desire to get up any earlier than is necessary.
